The Langhe and Roero hills are one of the most respected and renowned areas in Italy for the production of quality food and wine, and within the local culture of Piemontese it is considered to be an art form.
White truffles, mushrooms, hazel nuts, Barolo and Barbaresco, amongst others, made or grown in this area are some of the most appreciated amongst people that love excellent food and wine.
The unique characteristics of the raw materials and the ability to transform them within traditional recipes made us think of a place where people could enjoy the tastes of traditional Piemontese cuisine made with simple but refined ingredients from around the area.
La Piola is a word in the Piemontese dialect which means restaurant, a comfortable and relaxing place where our grandparents can meet to eat a dish of local pasta, speak with friends and play cards. |
