At the helm of the restoration project were American and Italian architects, Bill Katz, Steven Shailer and Luca and Marina Deabate, while French designer Monsieur Jean Bertaud of Matinox followed the realization of the two kitchens.
An assortment of artists and their unique artistic contributions render the space inviting and characteristic: specially designed plates by artists including Donald Baecheler, James Brown and Robert Indiana (2005 series), Philip Taaffe, Kiki Smith and Terry Winters (2008 series), and John Baldessarri, Tom Nskowsky and Lynn Davis (2010 series). The space is futher enhanced by the fresco painted by Francesco Clemente created for Piazza Duomo in 2007 and the photography of Adam Fuss in 2007. |
